Our Story

Dr. Ellen Frankel has owned and operated Rhode Island Skin Doc, a private medical practice, for the past 22 years. Patients were always asking for referrals of where to go for Laser, massage, and other esthetic services. Dr. Frankel had always wanted to open a Medispa because she felt there was a need to have quality medical based treatments in a state of the art, medical facility.

It was a natural extension of what she was already providing, and a decision was made to offer these services in a beautiful, relaxing setting.
They have renovated the space next door to Rhode Island Skin Doc into a calming, tranquil area where clients can get the medical treatments or pampering they are looking for. The practice and the spa work together. Patients are referred to the appropriate esthetic nurse, esthetician or massage therapist depending on their needs and desires. They are first seen by one of the practitioners in the medical practice and then taken over to the spa.This facility is different from a spa or salon because they have medical personnel on the premises at all times. They are also constantly receiving the latest medical training and recertification, and upgrading the lasers and other medical equipment when the technology improves.
