- Skin may appear slightly pink which resolves anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours after treatment
- Skin may feel slightly warm, which resolves within 30 minutes after treatment
- Increased urination due to increased lymphatic drainage and increased fluid intake, as you are asked to drink 6 – 8 glasses of water on the day of treatment

How SmoothShapes® Works - Patient
The SmoothShapes system is effective because it treats the underlying causes of cellulite. Cellulite appears as changes occur within the hypodermal layer. The SmoothShapes system featuring Photomology® technology facilitates changes in the skin resulting in an improvement in the appearance of cellulite. Photomology combines dynamic laser and light energy with contoured rollers and vacuum to specifically impact the underlying causes of cellulite.
Each cell membrane is like a fine mesh strainer. Light energy directly
increases the permeability of the fat cell membrane. As the light
penetrates, the mesh widens. While this light is facilitating change,
another laser wavelength is being applied simultaneously.
These wavelengths target fat cells and the lipids within the fat cells
causing a thermal effect. With the help of vacuum massage and mechanical
manipulation, fat is able to move out and be transported to
the body’s lymphatic system.
The fat cells become smaller and regain their more uniform shape.
Collagen is rejuvenated and there’s better circulation throughout the
treatment area.
