Dr. Ellen H. Frankel Professional Biography :
After finishing medical school at New York Medical College, I completed my internship in Internal Medicine at New Rochelle Hospital Medical Center. I then began my dermatology residency at University of Miami School of Medicine where I was chief resident. After completion of training, I moved to Providence, Rhode Island and did a pediatric residency at Rhode Island Hospital. I have been in private practice in Cranston, Rhode Island since 1987, and chief of dermatology at St. Joseph's Hospital since 1995.
I have given numerous lectures over the years to various medical groups (both in state and out), public skin awareness screenings at local hospitals and senior centers, and classrooms to teach youngsters about the damages of the sun. My practice is composed of a wide range of patients, and I have a special interest in pediatric and cosmetic dermatology. My office staff and I make a special effort to put children at ease in the office, as evidenced by the separate pediatric examining room and waiting room furniture with toys and books designed to make them feel comfortable.

I have been a medical billing professional since 1988 and have been working with Dr. Ellen H. Frankel, since 1997. I am originally from Chicago, where I attended Catherine's Business Institute and Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. I have also attended the Community College of Rhode Island and Johnson & Wales University. I enjoy traveling to Jamaica, bowling and life.

I am a Licensed Medical Aesthetician in the medical spa field. I received my certification from Paul Mitchell The School in 2005. I started my esthetics career in a full service salon. Working as a medical esthetician is a great opportunity to further my education and I am excited to be a part of a team of professionals and working for Dr. Frankel at her dermatology practice.

I have been a licensed Master Cosmetologist since 1991. I graduated from Costin's Warwick Academy of Beauty through their Master Cosmetology Program. I currently hold Master Cosmetology Licenses in Rhode Island, Georgia and New Hampshire. I have managed various salons, weight loss centers and full service day spas for the last 16 years. In addition to working behind the chair, I also studied management at both the Community College of Rhode Island and Everest Institute in Georgia.
